Our Sanctuary

To view our sanctuary, please take the pictorial tour. (Comming Soon) I'm sure you will agree that with the stained glass windows, mural of Jesus with the children, beautiful woodwork etc., it is exceptional. There is also a balcony for sitting in that you can't see in the picture. And of course you can't see the air-conditioning, but it's there when we need it! There is a staffed Nursery available for children of Kindergarten age and under if needed, although children of all ages are welcome in the sanctuary for the whole service.

Welcome to St. John's! It looks pretty good for being over 100 years old, doesn't it?! We had a great 100th anniversary celebration in the summer of 1999. We reenacted the laying of the cornerstone, opened the 100-year-old time capsule, and learned some interesting facts about the construction of the church. For instance, the bid for the construction of the building in 1899 was $8000! In 1901 a 2000-pound McShane bell was placed in the bell tower, and in 1904 our pipe organ was installed.
