Parish Life Committee
The Parish Life Committee plans and promotes fellowship events, which offer the opportunity to gather together outside of our worship services and express our love for our brothers and sisters in Christ at St. John's. These events provide the congregational members and friends the opportunity to really get to know one another in an informal, relaxed setting. Also known as "the fun committee," we organize annual events such as the Dessert Jam and the Church Picnic. Other indoor and outdoor activities are held throughout the year based on ideas and interests of the congregation. Watch for events in the newsletter, weekly bulletins, and on this web site under "Events & Fellowship." The Parish Life Committee welcomes suggestion for activities.
Gifts needed to serve on the Parish Life Committee include love of God and neighbor, the ability to work as part of a team and to coordinate the efforts of others, and a sense of fun, humor and adventure. The time involved in serving on this committee includes attending meetings as needed, as well as the time spent publicizing and planning events.
