Memorial Committee The Memorial Committee serves our Church by managing and directing funds that are donated in memory or in honor of a loved one. These donations come from family members, friends, members of the congregation, or from the community. At the time of the donation, the donor can designate a memorial gift for a specific need or purpose. If the donor does not designate the gift, it will be used at the discretion of the Memorial Committee to further the work and the mission of St. John's. The Memorial Committee has also been instrumental in the establishment of a Memorial Garden. The St. John's Memorial Garden was envisioned by Jean McCluskey as a meditative place of rest and prayer, and as an appropriate site for the interment or scattering of human ash remains for any of God's people who have passed to eternal life. It is hoped that this Garden provides peace, beauty, and comfort where members and their loved ones can be remembered. The Garden will stand as a reminder that those who went before us are not forgotten. If you have questions and/or would like more information about the Memorial Garden, or if you are interested in serving on the Memorial Committee, please contact Penny Markley, committee chair, by contacting the church office.
